elizabeth, Edaward and Mary
How they affected England.
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Edward, and Mary were very incredible leaders. They were all very influential in good ways and bad ways. But each person helped England in their very own way. Here is information on each wonderful ruler.
Queen Elizabeth was a very wonderful and influential leader in a good way because she had many achievements and led her country through war. She was born September 7, 1533. Her mother was Anne Boleyn. One of her many achievements were she reversed debasing coinage. She was also a very gifted scholar who was an accomplished linguist with the ability to speak several languages including Latin, Greek, French, Spanish and Welsh. Her mother was different from Edward or Mary's mothers. Her mother was Queen Anne Boleyn of Scotland. So Mary, Elizabeth and Edward were her half brother and Sister. She was the last to become queen but in my opinion she impacted England the most.
Prince Edward was King by the age of nine. He was born October 12, 1537. His mother was Jane Seymour. He was also a wonderful and influential leader in a good way. He was king after King James Stewart (his father the first Stewart king of England) he died at the age of 16 of tuberculosis. He coughed up phlegm, tissue, and sometimes blood. Some of his achievements were he (well this is an achievement enough) he was king at the age of 9!
Mary Tudor was very influential in bad way. She was born Feb.18, 1516. Her mother was Catherine of Aragon. To prove she was cruel she locked up her half-sister Queen Elizabeth the first, she was so rude to her subjects that she was nick-named " Bloody Mary" and she died of the second cruelest disease (in my opinion), Cancer.
So, as you can see, everyone was interesting in their very own way, Influential in their very own way and ruled in their very own way.
More Info is that the Privvy Council wanted Elizabeth to get married for the sake of the nation but she didn't and it turned out fine. She was nicknamed "the virgin queen". Mary burned 300 people for not being catholic and they were arguing a lot.
Debasing Coinage-Debasement is the practice of lowering the value of currency. It is particularly used in connection with commodity money such as gold or silver coins. A coin is said to be debased if the quantity of gold, silver, copper or nickel is reduced.
Privvy Council-a body of advisers or private counselors appointed by a sovereign or a governor general (now chiefly on an honorary basis and including present and former government minister)
